What Do You Need to Do In Order To Drive A Foregin Luxury Car in the US?

If I wanted to drive an exotic, luxury car that was only available in Europe in the United States, who do you go to in order to get certification? Can aynone give me an easy explanation of what the process is? Thanks!

1. This won't be easy since all cars imported into the U.S. must meet U.S. specifications for safety and emmissions. If the car doesn't meet those requirements it could cost thousands of dollars modifying it so that it will pass. Then it has to go through Customs and get ispected again. I've heard stories of cars sitting in Customs for 2 years waiting to get the paperwork approved to allow it into the country.
2. It's not easy or cheap. Otherwise, you would see a lot of these cars on the streets. Some models can be modifed to U.S. specs (at great expense) and others cannot. There are companies who do this kind of thing but you'll have to search online to find them.
