Accessing Higher Ground 2026, presented by AHEAD and in partnership with ATLAS at the University of Colorado Boulder, announced on April 16 that it is accepting proposals for its 29th annual conference in Denver. The submission deadline is April 29.

The Accessible Media, Web and Technology Conference will take place from Nov. 16 to Nov. 20 at the Hilton Denver City Center. Organizers are seeking session proposals covering a range of topics including accessible media, universal design, best practices for web and media development, accessible curriculum, alternate formats, artificial intelligence, legal and policy issues such as ADA and Section 508 compliance, evidence-based research, teaching accessibility in curricula, and other subjects related to accessibility in higher education or broader environments.

In addition to one- and two-hour main conference sessions, organizers are also requesting three-hour or six-hour preconference workshop proposals. Preconference speakers receive additional discounts on conference fees. Interested individuals can submit their proposals using the online speaker proposal form available on the AHG website.

Discounts are available for participants: out-of-state speakers receive a ten percent discount on registration; members of the CU campus community receive an additional five percent discount; CU Boulder affiliates benefit from a ten percent discount as an AHEAD member; preconference speakers get fifty percent off for three-hour sessions or a full waiver for full-day workshops.

For more information about submitting a proposal or questions regarding participation, Howard Kramer can be contacted at 720-351-8668 or by email at hkramer@colorado.edu.
