Registration is now open for the 55th International Convention of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU), and members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) are eligible to participate. The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

The CBTU Convention gathers trade unionists from across the United States to discuss important labor topics. At last year’s convention, IAM members attended sessions on organizing, conflict resolution, leadership development, and building power within unions. These workshops also focused on sharing strategies to strengthen both individual unions and the broader labor movement.

A group room rate has been arranged for attendees at $185 per night plus applicable taxes at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The deadline to reserve rooms at this rate is April 24, 2026. A one-night credit card deposit is required when booking; this deposit is refundable if canceled by April 15, 2026. After April 24, reservations will be subject to availability and may be charged at higher rates set by the hotel.

Attendees are encouraged to use the official CBTU booking link as the preferred method for making hotel reservations. Reservations can also be made by phone at 1-877-803-7534 using “CBTU” as a reference code, though online booking remains preferred.
