The Colorado Department of Transportation announced on Mar. 19 that northbound Interstate 25 from Fillmore Street to Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs will be fully closed overnight during the week of March 23 for overhead sign removal and replacement. The closure, conducted with contract partner SEMA Construction, Inc., is scheduled from 11 p.m. Monday, March 23 to 3 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, and again from 11 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 to 3 a.m. Wednesday, March 25.
The closure is intended to ensure public safety while crews work on overhead signage along the affected stretch of I-25.
During these hours, drivers will need to use detour routes on North Nevada Avenue and Centennial Boulevard as indicated by project maps released by transportation officials.
