The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is organizing two public open houses to update residents on the Federal Boulevard Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. Federal Boulevard is recognized as one of the busiest transit corridors in the Denver metropolitan area, and the BRT project aims to provide faster and more dependable transit service for thousands of daily riders.
The open houses will offer community members an opportunity to learn about the preliminary design of the BRT system, proposed station locations, station design elements, and upcoming steps in the project. CDOT staff and members of the project team will be present to answer questions from attendees. The events will also include refreshments and activities for children.
The first open house is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The MAC, located at 3295 W. 72nd Ave., Westminster, CO 80030. The second session will take place on Thursday, October 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Westwood Community Center, 1000 S. Lowell Blvd., Denver, CO 80219.
