The Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has announced two public comment hearings regarding Xcel Energy’s siting permit appeals for Segment 5 of the “Colorado Power Pathway” project. The proposed routes under consideration are located in Elbert County and El Paso County.
The hearing for Elbert County, identified as Proceeding 25A-0354E, will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Agriculture Building at the Elbert County Fairgrounds in Kiowa. Light refreshments will be provided, along with a children’s activity table and Spanish interpretation services.
For El Paso County (Proceeding 25A-0355E), the hearing is scheduled for Monday, January 26, 2026, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Swink Hall in the El Paso County Fair and Events Center in Calhan.
Members of the public can also submit comments through several channels. Written comments may be submitted via the Commission’s online form or by email at dora_puc_website@state.co.us. Comments can also be mailed to the Colorado Public Utilities Commission at its Denver office or left as oral comments by calling (303) 869-3490. Both English and Spanish options are available for oral submissions.
