The Colorado Learning and Teaching with Technology (COLTT) community announced on Apr. 2 that its 2026 conference will take place on Aug. 5 and 6 at the University of Colorado Boulder. The event aims to bring together educators, learning designers, and technologists from across the CU system and beyond to address challenges facing higher education.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Steer Into the Slide,” which encourages participants to confront uncertainty by testing new ideas, rethinking established practices, and engaging thoughtfully with emerging technologies while keeping a focus on the human side of teaching.
Attendees at COLTT 2026 will have opportunities to explore practical strategies for integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies into their work. The program includes hands-on workshops where participants can create teaching materials, workflows, and AI-supported resources for immediate use. There will also be sessions covering topics such as learning analytics, course design, credentials, faculty support, accessibility, and more.
The call for proposals is now open for faculty members, instructional designers, technologists, and campus partners who wish to share their work or ideas at the conference. Proposals are due by May 1 for full consideration.
Registration is currently open with a single flat rate covering both days of programming. Organizers say COLTT 2026 offers a chance for educators to come together during a time of change in higher education.
