The University of Colorado (CU) will hold its Innovation & Entrepreneurship Showcase on September 15 as part of Colorado Startup Week in downtown Denver. The event follows last year’s inaugural showcase and is intended to highlight CU’s ongoing role in innovation throughout the state and beyond.

This year’s program features Inspiration Hall, an expo where more than 60 innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders will present their work. A keynote session will include speakers such as Matt Ridenour, who leads U.S. accelerator and startup ecosystems for Google; Thomas “Detour” Evans, a CU Denver graduate and internationally recognized artist; Maithreyi Gopalakrishnan, a CU Boulder alumna and founder of PrecisionTerra; Rafael de la Vega, a UCCS graduate and CEO of Salt Athletic; and Vik Bebarta, a professor at the CU School of Medicine.

The showcase is organized under the President’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative. This initiative seeks to coordinate efforts across the university system in areas like research, education, and partnerships with both private companies and public organizations.

“CU’s longstanding leadership in innovation is marked by groundbreaking solutions and advances in health, climate, education, technology and lifestyle, among other areas affecting our daily lives,” said CU President Todd Saliman. “To be able to see so many of our remarkable community members together in one space at the showcase and experience their work firsthand reaffirms that the university is not merely preparing our students for the future, we’re shaping the future.”

More information about the event and registration details can be found on the official site.
