Cuerno Verde Rest Area in Colorado City to close for improvements starting October 6

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will temporarily close the Cuerno Verde Rest Area in Colorado City starting October 6. The closure is expected to last up to 30 days while improvements are made, including the replacement of the HVAC system.

To assist travelers, variable message signs will be used to inform drivers about the closure and provide information on alternative rest stops.

“Cuerno Verde Rest Area in Colorado City to close temporarily beginning Oct. 6,” CDOT stated.
