More than 700 business and community leaders gathered at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Annual Meeting. The event served as both a celebration of achievements over the past year and an opportunity to discuss future challenges facing Metro Denver’s economy.

During the meeting, Chamber officials outlined key accomplishments from the past year. The organization took positions on 94 bills that impacted Colorado’s business climate, helped bring in more than $1.95 billion in new capital expenditures, and awarded over $109,000 in scholarships for leadership development programs. A full report detailing these efforts was released as part of the Chamber’s 2025 Impact Report.

Katie Kramer, President and CEO of the Boettcher Foundation, received the Del Hock Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her contributions to Colorado’s business and civic sectors.

Leadership changes were also announced at the meeting. Maureen Tarrant, Vice President of External Affairs for HCA HealthONE, concluded her term as board chair. Mowa Haile, President of Sky Blue Builders, assumed the role and spoke about his approach: “My commitment as a board chair is simple: we are going to lean in,” Haile said. “Lean into policy conversations, not just reacting to what comes out of the legislature but proactively shaping the solutions Metro Denver needs. Lean into collaboration – bringing together business, government, and community leaders to ensure Metro Denver stays competitive and resilient. And lean in to supporting every member of this Chamber, from our largest employers to our smallest startups, because they all play a role in fueling our region’s economy.”

A featured discussion included J.J. Ament, Chamber President and CEO; Damani Leech, Denver Broncos President; and Denver Mayor Mike Johnston. The conversation followed news that Burnham Yard is under consideration as a potential site for a new Broncos stadium—a decision shaped by fan input and long-term planning.

“A new stadium gives you this blank canvas to really cater to your fans,” Leech said. He added that success on the field drives business growth: “If we win, the business will flourish.” Mayor Johnston commented on how important it is for both city and team interests to align: “What I’m most proud of is that the Denver Broncos have one shared vision [with Denver],” said Johnston.

Chamber President J.J. Ament closed by noting recent membership growth: “That growth tells us that you, our business community, see the value of the Chamber’s work—whether it’s through advocacy, economic development, leadership training, or the relationships we foster,” Ament said.

The event was supported by numerous trustees including AngloGold Ashanti, Boettcher Foundation, Chevron , Comcast , Daniels Fund , DaVita , Denver International Airport , Denver Water , Empower , FirstBank , HCE HealthONE , Innosphere Ventures , Intermountain Health , Pinnacol Assurance , Tallgrass , U.S. Bank , UCHealth , United Airlines , University of Colorado System , VF Corporation , Xcel Energy , with keynote sponsorship from Colorado State University Global and platinum sponsorship from Taft/Sherman & Howard.

The Chamber says its vision remains focused on economic empowerment for all Coloradans through advocacy for public policy initiatives, development of civic leaders and promotion of a sustainable economy across Colorado.
