The Colorado Department of Transportation and its contract partner, ACME Concrete Paving Inc., announced on April 7 that all northbound lanes on Colorado Highway 157 (Foothills Parkway) at Pearl Street will be closed from Friday evening, April 10, until Sunday evening, April 12. The closure is necessary for the removal and replacement of concrete panels as part of a pavement rehabilitation project.
This closure is intended to ensure the safety of motorists and construction crews while minimizing overall disruption to travelers. According to the announcement, a single-lane closure will begin at 7 p.m. Friday on northbound CO 157 at Pearl Street, followed by a full roadway closure at 9 p.m. The road will reopen Sunday evening after work is completed.
During the full closure, northbound drivers will be rerouted off CO 157 at the Pearl Street exit and directed across Pearl Street to re-enter via the CO 157 on-ramp. Both northbound drivers on CO 157 and east/westbound drivers on Pearl Street should expect delays up to fifteen minutes related to these changes. Southbound lanes on CO 157 will remain open throughout the weekend.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes during this period in order to avoid congestion in the area. Uniformed traffic control officers will be present to help manage traffic flow. Motorists are asked to slow down near construction zones, watch for workers and equipment, and maintain safe distances between vehicles.
