Today marks Giving Tuesday, an annual event that encourages people around the world to support charitable organizations following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC), a charity supported by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), has launched its Holidays of Hope fundraiser.

The organization is seeking donations to help provide service dogs for military veterans with PTSD, individuals who are blind or visually impaired, and children with autism. According to GDA | TLC, contributions made on Giving Tuesday will directly benefit those in need by offering them the assistance and companionship that service dogs provide.

“Each donation you make today will directly benefit a military veteran with PTSD, a person who is blind or visually impaired, or a child with autism who needs the life-changing confidence, love, and hope that a service dog provides,” stated GDA | TLC.

Supporters are encouraged to contribute to GDA | TLC’s campaign as part of their Giving Tuesday activities.
