The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) announced on Apr. 7 that registrations are now open for its Retirees Assistance Program, which will take place from June 14 to June 19, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The program aims to support IAM retirees by providing them with tools and resources to address the challenges faced during retirement. Organizers say participants will benefit from educational sessions covering a variety of topics important for seniors.

According to the IAM, sessions will focus on elder abuse awareness, mental health, self-care strategies, senior addiction issues, healthcare navigation skills, and opportunities for volunteer work. Additional offerings include guidance on finding community resources, understanding dementia, financial planning and asset protection advice, considerations regarding senior housing options, preparation for medical appointments, sensitivity training programs and information about advance directives.

Details about tuition costs, transportation arrangements and curriculum specifics are outlined in the official call letter provided by IAM leadership.

Registration is currently open to eligible retirees who wish to participate in this comprehensive program.
