IAM District 837 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) and Boeing Defense are set to resume negotiations on Monday. The discussions will take place with the assistance of a federal mediator as both parties seek to resolve an ongoing strike.

In a statement released by IAM District 837, the union said: “The bargaining committees for Boeing and IAM 837 have agreed to return to negotiations on Monday with the help of a federal mediator in an effort to find a path to end the strike.”

The IAM represents about 600,000 active and retired members working in sectors such as aerospace, defense, airlines, shipbuilding, rail, transit, healthcare, automotive, and other industries throughout North America.
