For the fifth consecutive year, members of the IAM Local 1746 Women’s Committee and the IAM Union Eastern Territory have worked with East Hartford Public School in Connecticut to support a backpack rally event. The partnership involved collecting donations, packing backpacks, and serving as a vendor during the distribution day.

Volunteers from IAM Union Local 1746 and the IAM Union Eastern Territory distributed thousands of items to students at the event. These included pencils, pens, rulers, activity books, stickers, and other supplies branded with the IAM union logo.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts by local union members to support students in East Hartford as they prepare for the new school year.
