The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and SEMA Construction, Inc. will conduct overnight lane closures on Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs as part of the I-25 Acceleration/Deceleration Lanes Project. The work involves setting girders on the bridge structure over Ellston Street between Mile Point 144 near Fillmore Street and Mile Point 146 near Garden of the Gods Road.
According to CDOT, the planned closures will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Motorists traveling northbound on I-25 should expect the following schedule:
“From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., the northbound right lane will be closed
From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., the northbound right lane and middle lane will be closed
During the double lane closures traffic will be reduced to one lane
All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3
From 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sinton Trail will be closed at Ellston Street under I-25
Work is weather-dependent and subject to change”
A map showing details of the closure area is available for public reference through CDOT’s project website at https://www.codot.gov/projects/i25gogfillmorelanes.
