Southbound I-25 near the 20th Street off-ramp in Denver has reopened after an incident early Wednesday morning caused major lane closures. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, four out of five lanes were closed when a large piece of construction equipment fell from a flatbed truck and landed on its side. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. within a coned-off work zone where contract crews were finishing overnight resurfacing work.

Crews responded by safely removing the heavy equipment from the highway, allowing all lanes to reopen later in the day. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
