Next week, traffic along Colorado Highway 7 (Arapahoe Avenue) in Boulder will be reduced to a single lane in each direction on the eastbound side between Foothills Parkway and Range Street. The change is intended to provide a safe environment for crews working on the westbound lanes. This arrangement is expected to remain in effect through September 22.

Access to local businesses will not be restricted during construction. Pedestrians are advised to use posted detour routes around the work zone.

Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 19, and continuing until 5 a.m. Monday, September 22, the north intersection of CO 7 and 48th Street will close for milling and paving work. A detour will allow continued access to 48th Street during this period.

Detour information has also been made available for those needing access to Boulder Community Health.

“Access to local businesses will remain open throughout construction, and pedestrians are advised to follow posted detour routes for safe navigation around the work zone.”

This traffic pattern is scheduled to last throughout the weekend until regular operations resume.
