The University of Colorado announced on March 26 the final opportunity for employees to submit their projects for the 2026 CU Innovation & Efficiency (CU I&E) Awards Program, with the deadline set at midnight on March 31.

The awards program aims to recognize university employees who have developed innovative solutions that improve efficiency by saving time, money, and effort throughout shared systems. The initiative highlights stories of forward-thinking approaches that are intended to inspire and benefit the entire CU community.

According to university officials, staff members from various campuses have already submitted projects in areas such as finance and accounting, sponsored research, sustainability, technology, and training. The current submissions are described as examples of creativity and ingenuity that contribute to progress within the institution.

Employees interested in participating can review all existing project submissions online before submitting their own work. With only a few days left before the deadline, university representatives encourage staff to share their innovative ideas for consideration in this year’s awards program.

The Office of University Controller said these efforts may become “the next story of innovation we celebrate across CU.”
