The University of Colorado (CU) is now accepting entries for the 2026 CU Innovation & Efficiency (CU I&E) Awards, which recognize employees who develop effective solutions to improve university operations.

According to the Office of University Controller, this year’s submissions are already making an impact. A recent entry from CU Anschutz, titled “Redesigned Research Studies Website Boosts Access and Engagement,” has more than doubled research participation inquiries by improving navigation and search features on its website.

Last year, the top award was given to a project called “Sustainability in Simulation Operations” at CU Anschutz. The awards program offers up to $1,500 in cash prizes that will be distributed by a judging panel.

The awards aim to highlight innovative projects that contribute to ongoing improvements at CU. More information about current and past submissions can be found on the program’s Current Submissions page.
