The University of Colorado’s Federal Relations and Counsel provided updates on federal matters affecting the university community in early February. On February 6, the office shared information regarding fiscal year 2026 appropriations, a final rule from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) concerning federal workers, and efforts by the White House to reach a settlement with Harvard University.

Additionally, an update from February 3 addressed topics such as FY26 appropriations, a delay in involuntary payment collection by the Department of Education (ED), and ongoing negotiated rulemaking at ED.
