The University of Colorado’s Federal Relations and Counsel office has released two recent updates on federal policy changes affecting higher education. A second update from August 8 includes details about an Education Department memo concerning admissions data, an executive order on federal grantmaking practices, a lawsuit related to National Science Foundation grant cancellations, and updates from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) regarding pocket recissions. The same update also mentions a GAO report focused on NIH grant cancellations, confirmation of an Under Secretary at the Department of Education, as well as investigations and frozen funds involving UCLA and Duke University.

University officials direct those interested in ongoing developments to consult the CU System Federal Transitions Updates page for additional communications and federal memos.
