The University of Colorado Staff Council (UCSC) has introduced a series of short videos to showcase the efforts of shared governance groups throughout the CU system. The videos aim to highlight how staff councils from CU Boulder, UCCS, CU Denver, CU Anschutz, and system administration work with university leadership to represent staff interests and promote shared governance.

Staff Councils consist of elected representatives who collaborate on advocacy for issues affecting staff members. Their activities extend beyond advocacy to include organizing community-building initiatives such as food drives, blood drives, staff appreciation events, and various outreach opportunities that connect the campuses with the wider Colorado community.

The new video series presents examples of how Staff Councils support both University Staff and Classified Staff by addressing topics like pay, benefits, working conditions, and professional development. Each video contains testimonials from council members and leaders as well as remarks from President Todd Saliman. In his comments, President Saliman acknowledges “the important work of Staff Councils and their role in shared governance across the CU system.”
