Beginning Tuesday, September 9, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will conduct an asphalt overlay surface treatment on US Highway 50, west of Monarch Pass near Sargents. The paving work is scheduled to last three days, from Tuesday through Thursday, with crews operating between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

During this period, motorists traveling on US 50 should expect full stops, alternating traffic patterns, and delays of up to 15 minutes as workers pave approximately three miles of roadway from Mile Points 193 to 196.

A map provided by CDOT outlines the area affected by the paving operations taking place September 9 to 11 during daytime hours. The department advises drivers to plan for potential delays and one-lane traffic while the work is underway.
