Yevgenya Muchnik has been named a finalist for the 2026 9NEWS For-Profit Leader of the Year, an award that honors executives and entrepreneurs who demonstrate strong leadership, ethical business practices, and a commitment to Colorado’s economic and civic development.
Muchnik is recognized for her extensive experience as a corporate and securities attorney and as a strategist in Web3 and artificial intelligence. With more than 15 years advising technology companies, investment funds, and decentralized protocols, she focuses on governance, regulatory strategy, and complex transactions. She is the founding partner of Launch Legal, where she assists early-stage and venture-backed firms with structuring both domestically and internationally, securities compliance, anti-money laundering concerns, payments risk management, and interactions with federal regulators such as the SEC, CFTC, and FinCEN.
Her work includes serving as principal outside counsel to major Web3 and AI projects. She has advised EigenLayer on corporate structuring and financing arrangements for protocols managing over $1 billion in staked assets. Additionally, she has counseled a decentralized exchange aggregator handling more than $10 billion in trading volume across multiple blockchain networks. Muchnik has also contributed to privacy-focused Ethereum applications by structuring their governance frameworks.
She played a key role in establishing Colorado’s first DAO cooperative under the Limited Cooperative Association framework. Her legislative work includes drafting proposals related to Colorado’s DAO laws. Muchnik is active in policy efforts at both state and national levels through participation in Colorado DORA consultations, Governor Polis’ Web3 roundtables, the Colorado Department of Agriculture Blockchain Working Group, and Coinbase’s Stand for Crypto initiative.
In addition to her position at Launch Legal, Muchnik serves as Senior Of Counsel at Jason Wiener PBC where she oversees teams supporting mission-driven companies with alternative financing options, mergers & acquisitions activity, stakeholder ownership structures, and coordination of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). Previously she held General Counsel roles at eBenefits Network, JetSmarter, and Santeon Group—leading initiatives including company spin-offs; mergers; early- stage financings; public-company governance; reporting requirements; data security; and HIPAA compliance.
Earlier in her career she practiced law at Paul Hastings LLP; King & Spalding LLP; and Squire Patton Boggs LLP—focusing on cross-border transactions as well as white-collar investigations involving FCPA/OFAC compliance issues within emerging technology sectors.
Muchnik holds advanced law degrees from the University of Oxford and George Washington University Law School; an LL.B. from the University of Birmingham; and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado. She also serves on advisory boards for nonprofit organizations like Lex:lead—as well as venture groups such as Rockies Venture Club—and technology collectives including Opolis/Employment Commons and Global Women in Blockchain.
“Leading Colorado honors leaders who are shaping the future of our state through innovation, service, and impact across every sector,” according to event organizers. “This year we are proud to recognize finalists across three categories: For-Profit Leader of the Year,

and Public Sector Leader of the Year.”
